12/17: As the 2017 season has came to a close, few drivers and teams have already began to prepare for the 2018 Season. Many are tearing their race cars apart and going through them from front to rear. Many are searching for sponsors for the up coming season. Not many young teenagers have their life long goals and dreams drawn out, however in this case fourteen year old Ashton Higgins from Weaverville, NC is set to compete full time in the Southeast Super Trucks in the 2018 season.
Why is this so important? This kid has already set a tough standard, capturing the 2017 Southeast Super Stock
Championship and Rookie Of The Year. He had a stellar season, with Five wins, Eleven top five, and twelve top
Ten finishes out of twelve races. Not to mention the several pole awards claimed. The ALH Motorsports Team
has purchased a truck for the 2018 season attempting to capture another Championship and Rookie Of The
Year. Ashton will be piloting the #9 Fastlane Towing Chevrolet Silverado next season.
The young driver out of the ALH Motorsports stables has already made one attempt in the Southeast Super
Trucks on November 4th at Anderson Motor Speedway. What does Ashton do? He qualified on the pole in his
first attempt against some of the most fierce competition, several short track veterans Lee Tissot, Kenneth
Headen, Randy Porter, Martin Nesbitt, Jeff Caldwell, Ralph Carnes. He not only put the Mike Green/ Kenny
Campbell Motorsports Truck on the front row, but let everyone know he meant business and ran up front until
mechanical failure took him out of contention
More Sponsors and details will be announced in the next few weeks. For more information you can follow
