The SEST Limited Late Model’s made their debut at “Americas Favorite Bullring” Wake County Speedway in Raleigh, North Carolina on August 28th. With a lot of the teams suffering from flooding’s in North and South Carolina and some having to work after the storms it was a condensed version. The small quarter mile speedway would prove to be very fast very quick for the drivers. In the first afternoon practice round, it was Fallston, North Carolina’s DJ Canipe who topped the speed charts in his Dwight Huffman Racing #29. Bub Haney climbed his way to the top of the final afternoon practice. Qualifying was up next, and it would be Fountain Inn, SC driver of John Gallman who capture the Renegade Race Fuels Pole Award with a time of 13.401.
The race was cut back to 50 laps due to car count, however the fans in attendance were still in for a treat as our drivers would not disappoint. The field lined up on the track to kick off their race,
Canipe would start on the outside of the front row. Gallman quickly set sail and took off like a rocket, leaving Canipe battling for second with TJ Lollis. Lollis would dispose of Canipe and take over second after a couple lap door to door battle. Lollis now set his sights on the #81 of Gallman. With just a handful of laps remaining in the feature, Canipe caught back up to the #50 of Lollis and began to apply pressure. John Gallman would go on to capture the win.
The series will head back to Anderson Motor Speedway on September 25th. For all of the latest news and information, check us out on our website www.southeastsupertrucks.com or on our Social Media sites.
