The SEST Limited Late Models headed to Tri-County Speedway for the final race of the season, the points battles were very tight between as six points separated first through fifth. Canipe who picked up his first win of the season came into the night as the points leader. Canipe also claimed the Renegade Race Fuels Pole Award and would start the first race in fifth after the invert. This now set TJ Lollis and Chris Phipps on the front row. Lollis who picked up a win at Tri-County earlier this season quickly set sail and pulled away from the field, the battle for third place was taking shape as Canipe and Eugene Norton were battling it out. The first caution flew on lap twelve as the #26 of Mark Goin had came to a stop on the track in his HD Motorsports machine. Goin had ran over a piece of debris ending his day prematurely.
Lollis would lead the field back to the green flag with young gun Canipe beside him. Canipe took advantage of the restart and took over the lead, moving Lollis back to second. The caution flew again around the halfway point of the first race, as Alan Rich and Bub Haney tangled in turn four. Both drivers were able to get back under power and rejoin the tail end of the field. Canipe was ready to get this race finished up, as he led the field back to the green flag. Taylor Nesbitt Campbell who had been quiet all day now found herself in third after a quick battle with Eric Wallace. Caution flew again on lap 32 as the #7 Blaine Harrison spun in turn two, he was able to get pointed back in the right direction and get going again. Once again Canipe paced the field back to the green flag. Canipe went on to capture the first feature victory of the day and helped pad his points lead going into the final twin fifty race later on in the evening.
Eric Wallace would lead the field to the green flag for start of the second feature with Norton on his outside. Norton quickly moved out front as the battle for second was fierce. Wallace, Nesbitt, Canipe, Gallman, and Ralph Carnes were all right there beating and banging for the position. The first caution flew on lap three as Everette McMahan and Heath Silvers tangled together in turn four. Norton paced the field back to the green and pulled away, however Nesbitt’s car lit the fuse and she took off. She found herself right in the tire tracks of the #27 of Norton.
With eleven laps on the board and 39 to go she knew she had to quickly get by Norton and clear him in order to take over the lead. However Canipe had other plans as he drove to the outside of Nesbitt trying to take over second. After a extensive battle with Canipe and Norton Nesbitt was finally able to drive past the pair and take over the lead with just 24 laps remaining. Nesbitt went on capture her second win of the season. Canipe was able to make it back to back championships as he captured the 2021 SEST Limited Late Model Championship.
