The Southeast Super Truck Series, Gripp Energy Limited Late Models, and Southeast Legends Tour will roll into Hickory, North Carolina on October 27th. This will be the final stop of the season, all bets are on the table, all feelings out of the window, everyone will be focused on one thing chasing the trophy, and closing in on the points battles as they invade Hickory Motor Speedway.
HMS has a ton of history to date, it is the track where the Earnhardts, Petty's, Pressleys, Ingram, Settlemyre, Houstons, just to name a few set their marks. This will be the series return to the historic track after a few year absense. So we are excited to say the least, and to end our season here will be remarkable. Little Caesars Pizza has also come on board to make this night even more special. You definately will not want to miss a minute of the action.
In the Southeast Legends Tour the championship is coming down to the line between JR Weidman and Mike Canipe just two points separate the pair.
Through out their season they have seen over 40 cars show up, and has been some of the best finishes as well. The Gripp Energy Limited Late Models the points battle is close between the top four drivers. John Gallman out of Fountain Inn, SC is sitting on top after the last race, however he is tied for first with Asheville, NC's Jesse Clark. Dillon Houser from Hildebrand, NC will have an advantage going into this last race as he has a lot of laps logged in his career around the track. Houser is just one point out of contention and also has maintained the points lead all season until the last event. Asheville's Davey Smart isnt quite out of the contention yet, as anything can happen, he is 15 points out of the lead.
The Southeast Super Trucks battle is coming down to the wire as Piedmont, SC's Kenneth Headen is holding onto the top spot over Rookie Ashton Higgins from Weaverville, NC. Higgins is also leading points for the Rookie Of The Year award. However Lee Tissot has been on a roll the last part of the season and has won the last five races. Tissot won't be racing for the Championship this year, but just adding trophies to his collection.
In addition to these top three divisions, they will be joined by the always fan favorite Carolina Vintage Series, and Front Wheel Drives. Tickets are just $12 for Adults, Seniors 60+ $8, Children Ages 6-12 is $6, and Kids 5 & Under Free. Mark it on your calendar now as you will not want to miss this special night.
