The Southeast Super Trucks returned back to Anderson Motor Speedway with a back to back weekend on August 22nd. The series officials have been working hard on trying to get as many races in as they can.
It was the young gun of Tanner Carter who paced the field and set on top of the speed charts for the two practice rounds. The series seen a first time for a female driver to capture the Renegade Race Fuels pole award as Taylor Hosford from Madison, Florida laid down an impressive lap time in her #13 Arnett Bus Lines Chevrolet Silverado. She rolled a five on the invert dice which now put Headen on the top spot for the race. Headen took off in his SH Carter Ford F150 when the green flag fell.
The only battles on the track seemed to be from second on through out the field. Hosford who had worked her way back up to second was slowly reeling down the leader, lap by lap but fell short. As Headen went on to capture his second win of the season. Taylor Hosford, Ralph Carnes, Charlie Watson, and Lee Tissot rounded out the top five.
The Southeast Super Truck Series will make the return visit to Lonesome Pine Raceway in Coeburn, Virginia after a few year hiatus. This track has always produced some exciting adrenaline action. So make sure to join us as they open back up as a asphalt track. If you can’t make the trek up north, then tune into www.sest.tv as we will have every lap covered LIVE.
